The ICJ issued its Advisory Opinion on 22 October 2025 on "Israel's obligations regarding the presence and activities of the UN, other international organizations and third States in and related to the OPT"«

The ICJ reminds Israel, the occupying power of the OPT, once again of its obligations under international law, including IHL, to "guarantee the basic needs of the local population, including supplies essential to its survival", "to accept and facilitate aid programs provided by the United Nations and its entities" and not to "resort to starvation" as a method of warfare.
