JURDI's Secretary General, Benjamin Fiorini, gave a filmed interview to the media outlet Blast on April 2, 2026, as part of their Focus program. Fiorini's statements and arguments are illustrated with visual materials (videos and press articles).
Benjamin Fiorini describes the "dangerous rout of international law" whose relevance has been challenged and which, in fact, has been constantly trampled upon and threatened even in its existence over the past few years.
First, in the Palestinian territory, which has become a "laboratory of violations of international law," all of which are perfectly documented. In Gaza, the worst international crimes, including genocide by the State of Israel, continue to be committed. In the OPT (Occupied Territory of the West Bank and East Jerusalem), a completely illegal process of colonization and annexation is accelerating with total impunity, and without Western states, including France, taking any effective measures to enforce these peremptory norms of international law or attempting to prevent or stop these violations. This complicit silence was repeated in the face of Israel's aggression against Lebanon, the US-Israeli aggression against Iran, and the attack on Venezuela last January.
The silence, inaction or complicity of many political leaders and of many media outlets in France contributed to the process of preparing consent to these crimes, to weakening international law and the rule of law at the national level.
