The newspaper Le Monde (lemonde.fr) published this opinion piece on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, co-written and co-signed by ten university professors of international law, all members of JURDI (Jurists for the Respect of International Law). Most of them are members of its Scientific Council. Its Vice-President, Farah Safi, also contributed.
Faced with criticism of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, based on remarks taken out of context, France must set a good example and defend the independence of special rapporteurs.
