This new report from Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor documents firsthand accounts of rape and denounces a systematic policy of sexual violence and torture perpetrated against Palestinian detainees, particularly those in Gaza, in detention facilities within the OPT and in Israel. The report details acts of sexual torture that have become a tool of destruction aimed at breaking individual and collective will, inflicting severe physical and psychological harm, and forming part of an «organized state policy» approved by the highest levels of Israeli political, military, and judicial authorities.
The report makes a number of recommendations to third-party states.
