We are pleased to invite you to the next JURDI Tuesdays session, which will be held online on Tuesday, November 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
We will be pleased to welcome:
Emmanuelle Tourme-Jouannet, Professor of international law and author of the book Gaza and International Law.
Based on the analyses developed by Emmanuelle Tourme-Jouannet in her book Gaza and International Law, this session will examine the different strategies by which Israel challenges or circumvents the frameworks of international law applicable to Gaza, even shifting the debate towards moral, religious or civilizational registers.
It will also address the effects of these strategies on the law and on the perception of the conflict, before questioning, in the face of the annihilation of Gaza, the need to reaffirm the function of international law – to name, to qualify, to protect and to allow for accountability – while reflecting on the evolution of some of its categories.
