Professor François Dubuisson, professor of international law at the Free University of Brussels and member of the Scientific Council of JURDI, is the author of this blog post in which he analyzes once again the latest version of the Yadan bill "aimed at combating renewed forms of anti-Semitism" tabled by MP Caroline Yadan, which is about to be debated by the French National Assembly.
The question arises as to whether this proposed law is a necessary tool to combat anti-Semitic acts and statements or whether it constitutes a danger to freedom of expression, unduly restricting free debate regarding Israel's occupation policy towards the Palestinians?
As a reminder, JURDI had already published two press releases on this site reporting Professor Dubuisson's analyses of the initial version (January 12, 2026) and then of the revised version of this bill (January 26, 2026).
