Raphaël Porteilla, Professor of Political Science at the University of Burgundy and member of CREDESPO as well as member of the Scientific Council of JURDI, published this article on February 1, 2026 in the IADL Review (International Association of Democratic Lawyers).
While the "Palestinian question" remains on the international agenda, the issue persists without a truly effective solution for the Palestinian people, despite sustained but ultimately ineffective attention from the UN, which "has never succeeded in achieving justice for Israel since 1947, that is, in gaining recognition of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination." This article examines three periods in this long history: from 1947 to 1969, then from 1969 to 2002, and finally from 2002 to 2025.
