JURDI Association is structured around two main bodies: a decision-making body, the Board, and a consultative and advisory body, the Scientific Council.

Each member of the Board and the Scientific Council of JURDI, individually and/or collectively possesses expertise and a strong commitment to human rights particularly in legal matters related to the respect and enforcement of international human rights law (IHRL), international humanitarian law (IHL), international criminal law (ICL), general public international law (PIL) and more broadly fundamental freedoms law.

Patrick ZAHND
President

Patrick ZAHND has been a delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for 32 years. He has exercised a variety of responsibilities both in the field and at headquarters in Geneva. He has been head of operations, head of various regional delegations, senior legal adviser and expert in IHL, diplomatic and political advisor. He undertook two missions in Israel / Occupied Territories. He has gained a large experience in the field of bilateral and multilateral humanitarian diplomacy both at universal and regional levels, including at the ICRC Permanent Observer mission to the UN in New York City.
For 10 years, he has taught international humanitarian law at Sciences Po Paris / Paris School of International Affairs. For the past 10 years, he has been teaching IHL at Sciences Po Paris / Paris School of International Affairs. He has also been an invited professor in other universities such as the UN mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica, the TEC of Monterrey in Mexico City and at Oberlin College, Ohio, USA. He is also an occasional consultant of various humanitarian organizations.

Ghislain POISSONNIER
Vice-President / Strategic litigation

Ghislain Poissonnier has been a French magistrate in the judicial system since 1999. He has held judicial functions both in the prosecution and at the bench in the courts at Bethune, Lille, Paris and Papeete (France). Ghislain has worked as a Legal advisor for the Ministry of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has also been a delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). His various positions have led him to work as a legal advisor in Kosovo, Palestine, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Thailand, Afghanistan, Guinea and Ivory Coast. He is the author of numerous articles in French-speaking legal journals, notably in international law, European law and criminal law.

Zoé PARIS
Vice-Président Partnership and Civil Society

Zoe Paris is a jurist specialized in international law and transitional justice, with experience in legal advocacy, program management, and supporting survivors in accessing their rights. She has worked across France, Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq with local and grassroots organizations, always committed to advancing justice and reparations for survivors of mass atrocities. Her work in the MENA/SWANA region includes time with Addameer, where she contributed to international legal advocacy efforts for Palestinian detainees' rights. Through her field work, she has developed expertise and drafted materials on ethical engagement with survivors

Farah SAFI
Vice-President / Studies & Research

Farah SAFI est Professeur agrégée de droit privé et de sciences criminelles à l'Université Clermont Auvergne et a soutenu sa thèse de doctorat intitulée « Le prosélytisme intellectuel et le droit pénal » à l'Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas (France). Farah est l’auteure de nombreux articles portant sur l'aspect pénal des libertés fondamentales (notamment sous l'angle de la liberté d'expression) et organisatrice de nombreux colloques et conférences sur le respect des droits de l'homme (Daech et le droit, Guerre en Ukraine : quelles responsabilités pénales pour les personnes morales?). Farah est Directrice du Master Droit pénal et sciences criminelles et directrice adjointe de l'Ecole Doctorale de l'Université Clermont Auvergne (France).

Coralie Klipfel
Vice-Présidente Communications

Coralie Klipfel is an Associate Professor of Public Law at INALCO and an assessor-judge at the French national Court of asylum. She holds a PhD in Public International Law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where she wrote her dissertation on spaces of exception in international law. She later joined the ANR research project Sexual Violence and Childhood in Wartime as a postdoctoral fellow. She teaches Public law, European law, and Public international law. Author of several publications in the field of international protection of individuals, she is a member of the CESSMA research center (Center for Social Sciences Studies on African, American, and Asian Worlds). She has worked at the International Criminal Court and has been involved in multiple international proceedings concerning State responsibility for human rights violations, as well as in drafting reports for international organizations on these issues.

Benjamin FIORINI
Secretary General

Benjamin Fiorini is a lecturer in private law and criminal sciences at the University of Paris 8, director of the Institute of Judicial Studies at the University of Paris 8, and an assessor at the National Court of Asylum. e teaches criminal law subjects, notably international criminal law, at the University of Paris 8 and the Catholic University of Lille. He is also known for leading the fight for the preservation of the popular assize court jury, in his capacity as president of the “Sauvons les Assises!” association.

Nadia ATTAIRE
Secrétaire général adjointe

Nadia ATTAIRE est juriste en droit social et spécialiste des ressources humaines. Elle a accompagné la prise en charge de contentieux, la gestion des relations sociales et a mené de nombreux projets de transformation, de mobilité et de développement des compétences dans des contextes exigeants et de grandes envergures. Elle s’intéresse de près aux questions de justice sociale et s'est investie dans l'univers associatif notamment au service de l’accès à la formation et à l’emploi et du droit des étrangers.

Alfonso M. Dorado
Trésorier

Alfonso Dorado is a lawyer at the Paris Bar and counsel before the International Criminal Court. He holds an LL.M. in International Economic Law and European Law (UNIL–UNIGE– Fribourg, Switzerland) and has over twenty years of experience in criminal law. He has appeared regularly before the International Criminal Court in various cases (Bemba II, Yekatom-Ngaïssona, among others). A former diplomat, he served as chargé d’affaires and senior advisor. He led the human rights program of the Ombudsman in Bolivia (focusing on refugees, migrants, and vulnerable populations) and occasionally represented the country before the United Nations. He has taught public and international criminal law.
He has also worked as a consultant for the Max Planck Foundation (alongside Prof. Kai Ambos) and as a contributor to the Rule of Law Index of the World Justice Project. Committed to the defense of human rights, he actively supports initiatives in favor of genuine democracy. He is the author of several specialized publications
